Hi!

I just installed WiFi Monster and played a little around.
Now I have some questions.

On startup WiFi Monster warns that all previously saved wifi networks will be deleted. But when I look in my standard WM wifi manager every profile is still there. Nothing has been deleted. Sometimes I even get connected automatically with a profile I created in the standard WM wifi manager.

And on shutdown WiFi Monster asks me if I want to 'Export network list to WZC on exit'
What does that mean?

Felix

Can't change wifi network password?

I go to a place that changes their password daily. I set it and connected once, and the network shows up, but I can find no way to get into the settings of the named wifi connection to change the password, so from now on it is unavailable.

Really need to be able to tap/hold to get to the various settings for that network. If that is supposed to work, it doesn't, and there is no menu or anything that appears to be able to do so.

ANY wifi network may have its password changed from time to time. Without some ability to respond to this, the product eventually becomes useless for working regularly with a network.

Family room looks boring.

I am running a Home daycare part time and a SAHM of two girls. We all love to hang out in the family room. This room in turn looks BORING! I don’t have enough storage for toys and I can not find a spot I like the furniture to make it roomy enough but also close enough for the hubby to watch his some what small TV, as well as well as when we have company this holiday season enough room for conversation. So many things I want, is it doable?? I have a Chair and a half and a couch as well as a small Child’s chair in all in denim.

The room is a large square right off the open kitchen and the house is not even a year old it has a recast area where I guess you would build shelving for home entertainment?? A HUGE slider that needs drapes BAD but is to tall I have to custom order them. And a bar area from the kitchen in my eyes could double as more seating I have a large amount of ppl over.

I do not have much cash to spend just want to get that great flow before the flow of people coming over for the holidays increases

Wifi Monster as a service / Auto Disable wifi when no data xmitting.

Okay, so wifi monster is a pretty good program as is, but to reach its full potential as far as im concerned, a few additional features would be most welcome.

1. Most important to me;

I like the wifi radio auto disable feature (when no networks can be found) currently in wifi monster, but IN ADDITION TO - would like the option to have my wifi radio turned off after X minutes where the wifi radio has had little to no data traffic on it....

for example, I wake up and turn on my phone, it does its thing; connected to my router, checks for weather, facebook, email updates etc etc.. then the device sits there with wifi on for no reason.  This is where the wifi could be turned off.  I dont want to set a exact time frame on it like, off in 5 minutes, cause sometimes those updates might take longer.  So, if there is anyway you can have wifi monster do this;

_ Turn off wifi radio when idle traffic
or
_ Turn off wifi radio when less then X kb/mb over X seconds/minutes.

This should be an essential feature of wifi monster.. from what I can tell currently wifi monster only disables when no networks have been found for X seconds..... its hard to find places in a city where there is no wifi points and threfor this feature doesnt really do anything for me until i go out into the country.

sorry long winded I know.

and

2. I would REALLY REALLY like wifi monster to run as a service (like commmgrpro does) with the ability to have it start up (and hide/minimize for that matter) start scanning / connect to an access point without any user interaction required. It kind of sucks having to hide it every device reset. Starting as a service would also keep wifi monster from showing up in my running tasks list all the time (would also prevent accidental closing of wifi monster app).. Would be nice to hide it from the task manager.

Anyhoo... if you could do any of that.. you would rock my device's wifi world. Thanks for the work so far. Much appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

-cope

How to delete a "preferred" network

Hello,
     if I'm right, when I successfully connect to a network, that network is automatically added to the preferred network list (it will show a yellow star), and the software will automatically try to connect to it when it is available. Is there a way to remove an unwanted network from that list, so that it will not be used in the future? If I remove it from the Windows Mobile network manager, WiFi Monster readds it the next time it is used.
     Thanks in advance for your help.
