Topic: Wifi Monster as a service / Auto Disable wifi when no data xmitting.
Okay, so wifi monster is a pretty good program as is, but to reach its full potential as far as im concerned, a few additional features would be most welcome.
1. Most important to me;
I like the wifi radio auto disable feature (when no networks can be found) currently in wifi monster, but IN ADDITION TO - would like the option to have my wifi radio turned off after X minutes where the wifi radio has had little to no data traffic on it....
for example, I wake up and turn on my phone, it does its thing; connected to my router, checks for weather, facebook, email updates etc etc.. then the device sits there with wifi on for no reason. This is where the wifi could be turned off. I dont want to set a exact time frame on it like, off in 5 minutes, cause sometimes those updates might take longer. So, if there is anyway you can have wifi monster do this;
_ Turn off wifi radio when idle traffic
or
_ Turn off wifi radio when less then X kb/mb over X seconds/minutes.
This should be an essential feature of wifi monster.. from what I can tell currently wifi monster only disables when no networks have been found for X seconds..... its hard to find places in a city where there is no wifi points and threfor this feature doesnt really do anything for me until i go out into the country.
sorry long winded I know.
and
2. I would REALLY REALLY like wifi monster to run as a service (like commmgrpro does) with the ability to have it start up (and hide/minimize for that matter) start scanning / connect to an access point without any user interaction required. It kind of sucks having to hide it every device reset. Starting as a service would also keep wifi monster from showing up in my running tasks list all the time (would also prevent accidental closing of wifi monster app).. Would be nice to hide it from the task manager.
Anyhoo... if you could do any of that.. you would rock my device's wifi world. Thanks for the work so far. Much appreciated.
Thanks for reading.
